Marieke & Jaco: Tulbagh
Marieke is a friend I have journeyed with over the past 10 years. Even though I wasn't too surprised when she asked me to do her bridal hair and make-up, I felt overwhelmingly honoured to celebrate this special day with a close friend in such an intimate way.

For Marieke's "look" we went with more rustic colours - bronze and warm brown. As she was wearing this amazing floral head-piece, this palate allowed to support rather than distract from the floral feature. The palate also allowed for a more natural look which brought out Marieke's natural beauty. This was something Jaco (Marieke's fiance) asked for - he wanted to be able to recognise her walking down the isle (haha).

The hairstyling, similarly, was soft and natural. I gave it some body and lifted it at the top so that, when Marieke would want to take off the crown, the style would 'hold'.
